Michigan State Police, command centers gear up for weekend snowstorm ahead of Christmas holiday

The video popping out of west Michigan was ugly, which is why the Michigan State Police is on standby with further troopers able to go if wanted.

“We’re going to have further troopers on standby,” stated MSP Lt. Mike Shaw. “We gauge it because it goes.”

Will probably be an extended evening in command facilities throughout Metro Detroit like Macomb’s high-tech ops middle.

“Actually, the factor we actually need individuals to do is to regulate the climate and keep house,” stated Director of Emergency Administration Brandon Lewis. “We’re taking a look at 3-7 inches of snow. We’re taking a look at sustained winds of 20-30mph and gusts of wind as much as 50mph. These are blizzard circumstances.”
