To the victor go the spoils, and Michigan is having a ball. The Wolverines are headed to the National Championship, and made a statement by beating Alabama en route to the natty — which has led to moments like this.
The audio is from comedian Druski, impersonating Alabama fans — which is, honestly, pretty great. Does Michigan using this after the game come off a little petty? Absolutely, but you gotta think that players are intimately aware of the pro-Bama bias in their sport.
Heck, even though every sign pointed to Michigan winning this game, there was still a lot of talk about Alabama winning the Rose Bowl, just because they’re Alabama and that’s the expectation. You hear enough of that talk on sports shows all week long and you’ll naturally develop a chip on your shoulder.
So now we wait for Michigan vs. Washington, and no matter what happens we know there won’t be too much pro-Huskies stuff for the Wolverines to have fun with.
