Michigan edge Braiden McGregor declares for 2024 NFL Draft

Announced on social media Saturday night, Michigan Wolverines edge Braiden McGregor has officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Port Huron, Michigan native had two years of collegiate eligibility remaining — he did not play his true freshman season in 2020, and also had the extra year of eligibility due to COVID — but is electing to turn pro after a real solid senior year.

In 2023, McGregor compiled 26 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, three pass deflections and one forced fumble.

McGregor saved his best game of the season for the College Football Playoff semifinal matchup in the Rose Bowl with Alabama. He only racked up two tackles in that game, but they were both for sacks/tackles for loss.

Oh yeah, and he had a pretty damn good block on Dillon Johnson when Mike Sainristil was running back his interception in the National Championship.

Across three seasons, McGregor posted a stat line of 47 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, five pass deflections and one forced fumble.

McGregor is the sixth Wolverine to declare for the NFL Draft, as he joins linebacker Junior Colson, edge Jaylen Harrell, defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, and offensive linemen LaDarius Henderson and Zak Zinter.
