Michigan bill would allow 17-year-olds to serve alcohol after training program
LANSING, Mich. – A Michigan invoice that may permit 17-year-olds to serve alcohol at bars and eating places has handed each chambers of the Michigan Legislature, and now heads to the desk of the governor.
Home Invoice 4232 would decrease the age of an individual allowed to serve alcohol from 18 to 17, pending completion of an alcohol serving coaching program.
The invoice was proposed to assist deal with a employee scarcity at state bars and eating places heading into the summer season and past.
If signed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan would grow to be simply the second state to decrease the age, becoming a member of Maine.
The invoice is supported by the Michigan Licensed Beverage Affiliation.
