Men’s Golf in Seventh Place at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate – Michigan State University Athletics

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State’s males’s golf workforce is in seventh place amongst 13 groups after two rounds of play on the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, being hosted by Ohio State on the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.

The Spartans completed the primary day of play with a two-round rating of 4-over par 580, posting scores of 3-over par 291 and 1-over par 289, respectively.

Illinois leads the sphere at 23-under par 553, seven pictures forward of host Ohio State, in second at 16-under par 560. Penn State and Northwestern are tied for third at 9-under par 567, with Kent State fifth at 8-under par 568.

Sophomore August Meekhof and senior Troy Taylor lead the Spartans, standing in a tie for twenty fifth place with scores of 1-over par 145. Each gamers went 1-over par 73 within the first spherical and completed with scores of even-par 72.

Freshman Ashton McCulloch is tied for thirty fourth place at 1-over par 145, with a 1-under par 71 within the first roujnd.

Junior Brad Smithson (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Japanese) is tied for forty first place at 3-over par 147 and senior James Piot (Canton, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central) is tied for forty ninth place at 2-over par 148.

The Spartans tee off within the remaining spherical on Sunday between 7:30 a.m. and eight:10 a.m., enjoying with Michigan and Rutgers.
