Man’s hand blown off when bomb explodes at Michigan home, police say

WARREN, Mich. – A person’s hand was blown off Saturday when an explosive system he was dealing with exploded at his Michigan dwelling, police mentioned.

In response to authorities, a Warren man was dealing with a bomb Saturday at his dwelling within the 20700 block of Gentner Avenue, close to 8 Mile Street and Gratiot Avenue. The bomb reportedly went off, taking off the person’s hand and beginning a hearth within the dwelling and storage.

Pictures of the scene may be seen above and beneath.

The house owner was alive and brought to the hospital, Warren police mentioned. His situation is presently unknown.

The Michigan State Police bomb squad was referred to as to the scene.
