Man killed in Michigan City shooting

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WNDU) – A LaPorte man is dead after police say he was shot and killed on Monday afternoon in Michigan City.

Officers were called around 12:55 p.m. CDT to the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts on US-20. When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Dylan Andersen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Anderson was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Police say they quickly identified the suspect and detained them. The suspect’s name is currently being withheld until formal criminal charges are filed by the LaPorte County Prosecutor’s Office.
