World Champion Bryce Hoppel returns to KU to race in Kansas Relays

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) – Track star Bryce Hoppel returned to Rock Chalk Park to race in the Kansas Relays this weekend.

Hoppel, who won countless Big 12 and National Championships during his collegiate career with the Jayhawks, became a World Champion in the 800-meter this past winter.

He came back to Lawrence to participate in the 2024 Kansas Relays, and won the gold medal in the Men’s 1500-meter race.

His return was met with an overwhelming amount of applause and cheers by the crowd.
