Welcome home celebration held for first Kansas Honor Flight of 2022

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Heroes Welcome Residence Celebration was held Wednesday afternoon as veterans returned house from Kansas Honor Flight 90.

Ninty-three veterans had been on board the massive constitution flight which included two World Struggle II veterans, 15 Korean Struggle veterans and 76 Vietnam Struggle veterans. Amongst them had been two feminine veterans, a trio of brothers, a pair of brothers and a father and son who’re each retired members of the Air Drive.

“I used to be so overwhelmed by issues just like the Vietnam Wall. I went to highschool with this man and I appeared him up on the wall. He received into a bit little bit of bother, minor bother, they stated you could possibly return to highschool or go to the military. He selected the military and he received killed in Vietnam. So, he took $10 value of gasoline. I’ll always remember him,” stated veteran Charlie White.

This was the primary of 4 honor flights scheduled this 12 months.
