Spectrum says Kansas City area outage Saturday caused by vandalism
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Spectrum says an outage impacting clients within the Kansas Metropolis space Saturday morning was attributable to vandalism.
Service has now been restored to most clients, Spectrum says.
“Vandalism to our community triggered the fiber minimize and outage,” a Spectrum spokesperson mentioned in a press release.
Crews started work to revive service at round 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Spectrum says a fiber minimize can comprise a whole bunch of fiber strands, and every must be individually repaired or changed.
A Spectrum spokesperson was not capable of present the variety of clients impacted by the outage.
