Senators honor fallen Kansas educators, Uvalde teachers at memorial re-dedication

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Nationwide Memorial to Fallen Educators has been re-dedicated in Emporia and added two lecturers who have been killed in Uvalde, Texas.

KVOE radio live-streamed the occasion on Friday morning, June 17. KVOE stories that the most recent additions to the memorial have been 16 lecturers, directors, custodians, and different employees members.

About 14 educators from 2020 and 2021 have been added on Friday as a result of induction ceremonies haven’t been held during the last two years as a consequence of COVID. The final two educators added have been lecturers who have been killed on the Robb Elementary mass capturing in Uvalde, Texas.

In accordance with KVOE, Kansas Senators Roger Marshall and Jerry Moran attended the occasion to acknowledge the fallen educators.

A banquet was held at 5 p.m., together with a proper induction ceremony at Emporia State College.
