Pilot hospitalized after airplane crash at Gardner Municipal Airport

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pilot was hospitalized after an airplane crash at the Gardner Municipal Airport on Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened just before 4 p.m. at the airport located at 31905 W 175th Street in Gardner, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.

The pilot was transported to an Overland Park hospital, but their condition wasn’t immediately available. A passenger also suffered minor injuries in the crash.

It wasn’t immediately clear what led to the crash.
