Skylar Vann paced the Sooners with 21 points for her seventh 20+ point game this season.

Jennie Baranczyk’s Sooners have now won five in a row since losing to this same Kansas State squad three weeks ago, including another top-10 victory over then-No. 10 Texas. Oklahoma now sits firmly in second place in the Big 12, just 0.5 games back of conference-leading Kansas State.

For the Wildcats, this is their first loss since late November, when the ‘Cats were bested by Iowa in the Gulf Coast Showcase. Kansas State was once again without its top player — Ayoka Lee — who hasn’t suited up for the Wildcats since January 13. Despite a second-straight season high in scoring from Gisela Sanchez, Kansas State could not remain undefeated without its star player.

Kansas State will need to regroup quickly, as it heads to Austin for a massive conference showdown with Texas. Meanwhile, Oklahoma will try to stay hot as it visits Oklahoma State in an in-state rivalry game on Saturday.
