Kansas pilot dies in plane crash

SHAWNEE COUNTY—A Kansas man died in a aircraft crash simply earlier than midday Saturday in Shawnee County.

The Kansas Freeway Patrol reported a 2007 PV-7 piloted by 72-year-old Steven D. Stuckey of Topeka took off southbound.

The pilot tried to incline and switch west when the aircraft stalled, flipped and went nostril first into the bottom at 5501 NE Shaffer Highway in Topeka.

Stuckey was pronounced useless on the scene and transported to Frontier Forensics. He was the one particular person on the plane. The FAA is investigating.
