Kansas National Guard breaks ground on new headquarters

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Kansas Senator Jerry Moran teamed up with the Kansas Nationwide Guard to interrupt floor at Forbes Discipline for the brand new Joint Drive Headquarters.

The brand new constructing will present command and management operations for all Nationwide Guard forces within the state of Kansas. The 58,784 sq. ft. facility will embrace common-use areas for meeting, school rooms and coaching.

The $18 million facility is designed to satisfy anti-terrorism and drive safety necessities.

“I’m happy to display that after once more, now we have decided that there are beneficial property in Topeka, KS,” Senator Jerry Moran stated. “Our Nationwide Guard issues to us and we’re recognizing that by investing of their future.”
