Kansas man sentenced to more than 19 years in prison for death of a child

Cody Lane Reed, 24, of Nice Bend, was sentenced Wednesday in Barton County District Courtroom to 165 months on one depend of second diploma homicide and 64 months for 2 counts of aggravated battery. The sentences are to be served consecutively in a Kansas Division of Corrections facility. Reed pleaded no contest to the fees in July 2022.
