Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has formally designated the month of June to be “Kansas Dairy Month.”

The Governor was joined by the Kansas Division of Agriculture and different agriculture group members in making the proclamation

“Kansas has one of many fastest-growing dairy industries within the nation,” Governor Laura Kelly mentioned. ”Our dairy farmers feed the world and are important to the general success of our state’s economic system. Dairy Month honors their arduous work and contributions.”

During the last three many years, Kansas’ dairy cow herd has doubled, and milk manufacturing has almost quadrupled.
