Kansas City Chiefs 90-man roster by jersey number: No. 42, DB Major Williams

The Kansas City Chiefs signed rookie defensive back Major Williams after the 2025 NFL draft.

A former collegiate star with the Division II Carson-Newman Eagles, Williams originally began his NCAA career with the University of Virginia Cavaliers.

In 34 games played over three seasons at Carson-Newman, Williams recorded one forced fumble, 3.5 sacks, four interceptions, and 155 total tackles, 22.5 of which were for a loss.

While Williams shouldn’t be expected to crack Kansas City’s 53-man roster as a rookie, he could be an ideal candidate to sign with the Chiefs’ practice squad if he shows signs of development in training camp and the preseason.
