Kansas Attorney General’s Office donates 23 vests to Ukraine

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Kansas Lawyer Normal Derek Schmidt introduced Thursday that the legal professional normal’s workplace has donated 23 protecting ballistic vests retired from use to be shipped to Ukraine to be used by regulation enforcement and the army forces.

The donation was half of a bigger effort coordinated by U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall and greater than 20 regulation enforcement companies from throughout Kansas. In all, greater than 300 protecting vests and 50 helmets have been donated by police departments, sheriff’s places of work and state regulation enforcement companies.

“We’re proud to lend this assist to the women and men of Ukraine as they struggle to defend their homeland,” Schmidt mentioned. “I recognize Senator Marshall main this effort to assemble and ship this gear to let Ukraine know that we stand with them.”

Marshall’s workplace is coordinating the transportation of the protecting gear via the Ukrainian embassy. The gear will likely be shipped to Poland for supply.
