Floats to cocktails, Elixir sets grand opening at Kansas City Museum
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – From floats to cocktails the Elixir soda fountain at the Kansas City Museum is set to please just about anyone as its grand opening has been set.
The Kansas City Museum has announced that Elixir – its downstairs soda fountain location – is set to officially open to the public on Thursday, Feb. 8. The museum has partnered with local restaurants and coffee shops to offer a menu of grab-and-go food items like sandwiches, salads, charcuterie plates, backed goods, chips and more.
Starting Thursday, museum officials said Elixir customers can enjoy house sodas, bottled juices, ice cream scoops, sundaes, milkshakes and phosphates. The shop will also include a museum-exclusive Corinthian Crunch flavor from Fairway Creamery.
The museum indicated that Elixir goers can also enjoy coffee and espresso drinks, Huge tea, wine, beer and select cocktails. It believes The Igloo cocktail is soon to be a Kansas City favorite.
Meanwhile, the museum also said that Cafe at 3218, also located on the first floor of Corinthian Hall, will continue to be used for ticketed culinary programs and experiences.
Museum officials noted that Elixir will open between 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. on Sundays. The Kansas City Museum is located at 3218 Gladstone Blvd. in Kansas City, Mo.
