Five Kansas firefighters to be honored on Fallen Firefighters Memorial
WICHITA, Kan. (WIBW) – 5 Kansas firefighters shall be without end honored as they’re engraved on the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Wall after making the last word sacrifice.
The Kansas State Firefighters Affiliation says that at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, 5 firefighters shall be without end memorialized after they gave their lives within the line of obligation.
KSFA has invited the general public to affix firefighters, buddies, households and supporters from throughout the Sunflower State to honor and keep in mind those that have made the last word sacrifice as they served their communities.
The 2022 Kansas Fallen Firefighters Memorial Wall engravements will embody the next:
- Michael Wells, Lenexa Hearth Division
- Johnny D. Ivison, Easton Township Hearth Division
- Josh Schwindt, Rolla Volunteer Hearth Division
- Malachi Brown, Baxter Springs Hearth Division
- Joshua D. Bruggeman, Wichita Hearth Division.
KSFA famous that retired Cpt. Joe Woyjeck of the Los Angeles Co. Hearth Dept. will give the keynote speech.
The ceremony shall be held on the Kansas Firefighters Museum, 1300 S Broadway St., Wichita.
