Ed Sheeran took some time out from his performance in Kansas City to help out an expectant family by revealing the gender of their upcoming child.

The 32-year-old singer was performing at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, when he was handed an envelope from a couple, which revealed the sex of their expectant child.

Sheeran was singing his song Perfect, when he seemed to have spotted a sign the couple was holding up, which apparently asked the singer to reveal the gender of their child.

While Sheeran posted a video of the reveal on his Instagram, another video from Twitter user @505serena begins with Sheeran saying, ‘Can you pass it up?’

‘Can I just say as a father of two daughters, it’s very awesome. It’s very awesome. Congratulations,’ Sheeran said, before going back to his performance.

The singer’s previous stop was last weekend at Soldier Field in Chicago, where he stopped by the infamous Windy City hot dog stand Wiener’s Circle, which is known for hurling playful insults at its customers.

‘This place is legendary [in] Chicago for serving hot dogs and insulting their customers. I loved it. See you at the stadium tonight x,’ Sheeran wrote in the caption of his video post.

The video showed Sheeran serving hot dogs while the stand’s employees hurled insults like, ‘He’s nervous because you guys won’t shut the f**k up,’ as Sheeran laughed.

He also shared last Sunday that his show at Soldier Field, home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears, set a new record.

The tour wraps up with intimate theater shows followed by a massive football stadium arena show in Seattle, Vancouver, Oakland and Los Angeles.
