5 Kansas City Chiefs earn Pro Bowl invitation

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KY3/KCTV) – The reigning Super Bowl champions received five Pro Bowl selections announced on Wednesday night.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes earned his sixth-straight Pro Bowl. Tight end Travis Kelce earned his ninth consecutive Pro Bowl.
Defensive tackle Chris Jones, center Creed Humphrey, and left guard Joe Thuney also received Pro Bowl selections. The selection was Jones’ fifth of his career. Humphrey was selected for the second straight year, as was Thuney.
The Chiefs, of course, hope that none of the players will be making the trip to Orlando for the Pro Bowl and will instead be traveling to Las Vegas a week later for another Super Bowl appearance.
Notably absent from the Pro Bowl rosters are cornerbacks L’Jarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie. Sneed has not allowed a touchdown this season on any of the 81 targets he’s been the primary defender.
