🏐 No. 23 Jayhawks Begin Tournament Play at Utah Classic

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The No. 23 Kansas volleyball crew strikes to Salt Lake Metropolis, Utah for the Utah Basic hosted on the Jon M. Huntsman Middle on August 26-27.

The Jayhawks will play three matches in two days with the primary match being on Friday at 1 p.m. CT in opposition to Utah Valley, adopted by an 8 p.m. CT matchup in opposition to No. 22 Utah and ending with a match on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT in opposition to Loyola Marymount.

Staff Breakdown

KU is returning 14 student-athletes from the 2021-22 season and including 5 newcomers, which incorporates graduate switch Lauren Dooley from Florida. Sophomore Caroline Bien returns to Kansas after a stellar first season. On September 17, Kansas shall be retiring two jersey’s on the conclusion of the Omaha vs. Kansas match on the Jayhawk Basic. Ainise Havili (2014-2017) and Kelsie Payne (2014-2017) shall be honored with a jersey retirement ceremony the place their jersey numbers shall be displayed within the rafters of Horejsi Household Volleyball.
