Vintage Market Days of Eastern Iowa wraps up third day
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – People could catch a break from the rainy weather Saturday morning at the last day of Vintage Market Days of Eastern Iowa.
The market featured over 80 vendors selling everything from art and antiques to clothing and jewelry and more.
Organizers of the event said while many vendors were from Eastern Iowa they had some from all over the country as well.
Beaujena DeSilva, promoter for the event said it’s a great way to support small-owned businesses.
“They’re creating really, really cool stuff or they’re going and finding stuff and taking really cool, you know, old, unique, one-of-a-kind pieces from barns and estate sales and all kinds of cool stuff. And so it’s really cool to support these people because this is their livelihood and their craft and you know, you know that your money is going towards a family,” said DeSilva.
A portion of entry fee proceeds went back to the Cornell College Men’s Lacrosse team as they helped customers carry larger items back to their cars.
The next Vintage Market will be on Mother’s Day next year.
