Iowa Falls, Iowa (AP) -A northern Iowa farmer spent an evening trapped in a grain bin earlier than crews rescued him. The farmer turned trapped Thursday afternoon by grain within the bin on his farm within the Ackley-Iowa Falls space.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier experiences he survived in a single day and was discovered by a neighbor, who known as 911 slightly after 11 a.m. Friday. Crews from a number of businesses responded and used shields to forestall extra grain from engulfing the farmer.

Additionally they reduce holes within the bin the relieve stress and rescued him after about an hour. Hardin County Sheriff Dave McDaniel says the farmer was aware and alert when he was taken to an Iowa Falls hospital. The farmer’s title wasn’t launched.
