Kris Murray Returning to Iowa Basketball

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa males’s basketball student-athlete Kris Murray introduced on Wednesday that he’s returning for his junior season.

“These previous two months have been an incredible studying course of for me,” stated Murray. “By going via the NBA Draft course of, I consider that it’s going to assist me in the long term and this upcoming season at Iowa. I can’t wait to get again to work with my teammates and coaches to play for the very best fan base on this planet. Go Hawks!”

Murray (6-foot-8, 211 kilos) posted single season bests in each statistical class final season. He improved his scoring common by +9.1 factors per recreation and rebounding common by 3.7 per outing.

Murray was Iowa’s main scorer (9.7 ppg) and rebounder (4.3 rpg) off the bench, which ranked fourth and third general, respectively. His 31 blocks and 43 3-point discipline objectives rank seventh and eighth most, respectively, by a Hawkeye sophomore. He ranked second on the squad in 3-point accuracy (.387, 43-of-11), blocked photographs per recreation (0.9) and discipline objectives made (124), third in offensive (1.6) and defensive (2.7) rebounds, and fourth in steals (0.8). He made no less than one 3-pointer in a team-best 17 consecutive video games (Jan. 22-March 13) and recorded a number of steals in 10 video games and a number of blocks in 9 contests.
