Judge moves trial for Iowa teen charged in teacher’s death
FAIRFIELD, Iowa — The trial for a 16-year-old teen accused of killing his highschool Spanish trainer will likely be held in Council Bluffs in western Iowa, a state courtroom decide stated Monday.
Decide Shawn Showers ordered the trial for Willard Miller of Fairfield to be moved about 200 miles (322 kilometers) from Fairfield in southeast Iowa to Council Bluffs. The order stated Miller, his attorneys and the prosecutors agreed to maneuver the trial away from Fairfield, the place the case had obtained extensively publicity. The trial is about to start Nov. 1
Miller and classmate Jeremy Goodale, 17, will likely be tried as adults, going through first-degree homicide fees within the beating dying of 66-year-old Nohema Graber, who taught at Fairfield Excessive College.
Graber’s physique was discovered Nov. 3 hidden beneath a tarp, a wheelbarrow and railroad ties at a Fairfield park. Police stated she had been overwhelmed to dying with a baseball bat.
The situation of Goodale’s trial, set for Aug. 23, has not been set.
