Iowa to announce new hiring initiative to address shortage of accountants, auditors

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) – Iowa plans to deal with a scarcity of accountants and auditors.

State Auditor Rob Sand will maintain a information convention in Council Bluffs on Nov. 1, asserting a plan to deal with the scarcity.

The plan can be a brand new hiring initiative.

Sand says companies and organizations are affected by the scarcity, and since 2019 there are 17% fewer People working within the accounting and auditing fields.
