Iowa State women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly to miss Wednesday’s game following his mother’s death

AMES – When the Iowa State ladies’s basketball group takes the ground Wednesday evening, the Cyclones will probably be with out their coach.

Iowa State coach Invoice Fennelly will miss the Seventeenth-ranked Cyclones’ sport towards Oklahoma State at Hilton Coliseum after attending the funeral of his mom, Carol Fennelly.

Carol Fennelly, who lived in Davenport, died Sunday. She was 85. Her funeral was Wednesday in Davenport.

Iowa State (11-4 on the season and 3-2 in Huge 12 Convention play) is slated to host Oklahoma State (13-4 total, 3-2 in Huge 12) at Hilton Coliseum at 6:30 p.m.

Affiliate coach Jodi Steyer, a longtime member of Fennelly’s workers, will function the appearing head coach throughout Wednesday’s sport. Steyer additionally crammed in for Fennelly in 2020 when the top coach was in self-quarantine through the COVID-19 pandemic.
