The Iowa Hawkeyes boast some of the best traditions in all of college football.

From the “I-O-W-A!” chants, to the “Back in Black” entrance, to the Kid Captains, to the Hawkeye Wave, Iowa does game days up right and knows how to generate a reaction from its fan base.

In terms of getting a crowd to its fever pitch before kickoff, though, a great intro video is a must.

Iowa City has been home to some great ones over recent seasons. The “This Is Iowa” intro video is a fan favorite. George Kittle made quite an appearance, too.

While those are no doubt difficult to top, the Hawkeyes gave it the ole college try this season. And Iowa’s director of athletics video, Dalton Conrad, and its assistant director of athletics video, Matt Little, knocked it out of the park.

Bringing back one of Iowa’s great signal-callers in Ricky Stanzi was a surefire way to pump Hawkeye fans up.

When Stanzi focuses into frame, it’s legitimately chill-inducing. “Once a Hawkeye, always a Hawkeye!”

It doesn’t get much better than that.

Of course, it’s also complete with one of Stanzi’s iconic catchphrases while he’s surrounded by his bowl of oranges in a room adorned Iowa.

“You either love it, or you leave it!”

Roll that tape on a new generation of Hawkeye superstars.

If that doesn’t get the blood pumping for some football, what’s going to in 2023?
