Iowa-Minnesota ‘College GameDay’ predictions: Here’s who picked Hawkeyes, Golden Gophers
Kirk Ferentz thankful for Tory Taylor after Iowa’s win over Wisconsin
Ferentz has 192 wins at Iowa, the latest being a 15-6 triumph over Wisconsin. Here he talks about how the Hawkeyes got the win.
Saturday’s game between No. 23 Iowa (6-1, 3-1 Big Ten play) and Minnesota (3-3, 1-2) has hit near-historic lows in terms of projected point total. But did that affect how the “College GameDay” crew picked the Hawkeyes-Golden Gophers game?
For all of his team’s offensive woes, Kirk Ferentz and Iowa enter their Week 8 game against Minnesota with a pretty good chance to win Floyd of Rosedale over the Golden Gophers. Not only that, the Hawkeyes have a real opportunity to advance to 11-1 in the regular season before taking on, presumably, one of No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Ohio State or No. 6 Penn State in the Big Ten championship game.
That starts, of course, with a victory on Saturday over P.J. Fleck’s reeling Golden Gophers team. Minnesota has lost three of its last four games and is coming off a demoralizing 52-10 defeat by the Wolverines.
Here’s how the “GameDay” crew picked the Iowa-Minnesota game:
