Iowa middle and heavyweights shine, Hawkeyes take down Stanford 32-9

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – After dropping their first two contested matches, Iowa won six of the final seven matches against Stanford, taking down the Cardinal 32-9.

The No. 2 ranked Hawkeyes got a forfeit win at 125. With the dual tied at six, Kyle Parco earned at technical fall at 141 to rally the crowd in his Carver-Hawkeye Arena debut.

Jacori Teemer, Gabe Arnold, Stephen Buchanan and Ben Kueter all earned bonus point victories.

No match compared to the clash at 165, where Iowa’s Michael Caliendo beat Stanford’s Hunter Garvin in comeback fashion 17-12.
