Iowa Lakes Community College awarded nearly half a million for aviation program
ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (KTIV) – The FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 is helping to provide federal funding to support aviation programs and training totaling up to $493,657.
According to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, “Aviation training programs offer Iowans job security and opportunities for career advancement. By investing in Iowans’ futures and our community colleges, these grants will help meet the national demand for skilled aviation workers.”
The grant money will in part go towards financial aid for high schoolers interested in careers in aviation.
