Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson get Trump endorsements

Days away from Tuesday’s election, Gov. Kim Reynolds introduced she has former President Donald Trump’s help.

In a Tweet Sunday, Reynolds stated Trump endorsed her re-election marketing campaign. “It is an honor to have his help,” she stated.

In a press release on Fact Social, a social media app launched by Trump, the previous president known as Reynolds a “robust chief and a implausible governor,” praising her help for Congress’ ratification of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada commerce settlement and for defending the Second Modification. 

“A fifth-generation Iowan, Kim is combating exhausting to Create Jobs, Minimize Taxes, Get rid of Pointless Rules, and Shield the Livelihoods of our Nice Farmers and Ethanol Producers,” Trump wrote. “Kim Reynolds is an America First Conservative and he or she has my Full and Whole Endorsement.”

Trump additionally endorsed U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, who represents Iowa’s U.S. Home District 1 in Congress and is looking for election to the newly redrawn District 2 seat.

Neither Reynolds nor Hinson face opponents in Tuesday’s main. However every may have a Democratic opponent within the fall: Deidre DeJear within the governor’s race and Iowa state Sen. Liz Mathis within the District 2 race.

The announcement of Trump’s endorsement of Reynolds comes on the heels of the governor’s five-day tour of the state, which started Thursday.
