Iowa County officials investigating body found near Amana Lily Lake
IOWA COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office says Sunday morning just before 10:15am, citizens informed them that the body of an unknown female had been found near the picnic area of the Amana Lily Lake.
The body has since been identified, and the name will be released Monday pending notification of next of kin.
The body has been transported to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy.
The investigation is ongoing. KCRG-TV9 will continue to update this story as more information is released.
