Luis Aispuro, an worker on the Starbucks espresso store on Clinton Road in downtown Iowa Metropolis, tells KCRG TV-9 they determined to take this motion after reaching a “breaking level” with managers on the retailer.

Some employees say they objected to strikes to chop hours for some workers at such a busy location, amongst different points.

They first reached out to the group “Starbucks Employees United” again in January to turn into a union. On Monday they filed paperwork with the Nationwide Labor Relations Board to turn into a union.
