Iowa City Police announce return of Downtown Liaison Officer
IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – Officer Colin Fowler, who was appointed Downtown Liaison Officer in 2017, is returning to the place after the Iowa Metropolis Police introduced the division is returning in the direction of “pre-pandemic staffing ranges.”
Downtown Liaison is part of the division’s Neighborhood Outreach division. Officer Fowler can be tasked with fostering optimistic relationships with companies and patrons by means of public schooling, homeless outreach, and many others.
Fowler has served with Iowa Metropolis Police since 1999. He’s one in every of Iowa Metropolis Police’s two Disaster Intervention Coaching instructors and is a member of the division’s Particular Response Crew.
