Iowa City man accused of enticing minors, sexual abuse
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – An Iowa City man is facing multiple charges after police said he had sex with a girl under the age of 13 in March.
A criminal complaint says police were called to the area of Lincoln Avenue and Newton Road for a fight just after 8 p.m. on March 14.
Investigators determined that 27-year-old Gael Mpia had enticed two girls under the age of 14 to a residence in the area, where he had sex with one of them.
When they tried to leave, he chased them and even wrapped his arms around one of them in an attempt to prevent her from leaving. The complaint says she screamed for him to get away.
Mpia is charged with Second Degree Sexual Abuse, Two counts of Enticing a Minor under the age of 13, and False Imprisonment.
