Meyer, of Clear Lake High School (Iowa), is ranked as No. 251 overall prospect and No. 11 tight end in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is also the No. 2 prospect in the state of Iowa in the class.

Meyer, listed at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, also reported offers from Texas A&M, Miami (Fla.), Stanford, Duke, Nebraska and Iowa State, among others.

Iowa has gained substantial traction for its ability to develop and produce tight end talent. One of those being former Hawkeye tight end George Kittle, who is set to play in the Super Bowl this year. Meyer’s commitment gives the Hawkeyes more firepower in the pipeline at that position.

Meyer is the fifth player in Iowa’s 2025 class. He joins Cooney, linebacker Burke Cautcher, defensive lineman Joey VanWetzinga and quarterback Jimmy Sullivan.
