MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa (KCRG) – On Tuesday, Iowa Wesleyan College leaders introduced they’d be closing the college after 181 years of upper schooling in Mount Nice.

College President Christine Plunkett mentioned a lot of the problem stemmed from low enrollment numbers, a scarcity of donations, and never receiving federal ARPA funding from the state.
