AMBER Alert issued for 15-year-old in Iowa City
IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old girl in Iowa City.
Authorities described Ophelia Barton as 5′0″ and weighing 80 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
She was wearing a short sleeve Disney shirt and red shorts.
Authorities identified her abductor as 42-year-old Lindsey White.
They described White as 5′5″ and weighing 138 pounds.
She has auburn hair and green eyes.
Authorities identified the vehicle involved as a blue 2014 Compass Short Jeep. It has an Iowa license plate: LIU044.
Authorities believe White and Barton are heading for Nichols in Muscatine County.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Iowa City police.
