Seven College of Iowa alumni and college who served their nation in the USA Military, United States Navy, United States Marine Corp, and United States Air Drive  had been honored with the 2022 Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Award.

Standards for the award embody a powerful college connection, having served honorably, army accomplishment, and repair to the neighborhood.
