INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Windy and warm for today. Winds may gust near 40 and 50 mph. It will be incredibly warm today but much cooler conditions head this way for the weekend.

TODAY: We have a Wind Advisory in place until 7:00 p.m. across the entire state. Winds will be out of the south and southwest sustained 10 to 20 mph. The winds will gust near 40 and 50 mph across parts of the state later this afternoon. Some of those east and west roadways may be a bit difficult with those high-profile vehicles. It will be mostly sunny for the day today. Lots of sunshine and high temperatures will climb about 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. We will see highs right around 65 degrees. The normal high for this time of the year is 45.

TONIGHT: Look for a few clouds tonight It will still remain breezy with low temperatures falling around 32.

WEEKEND FORECAST: Much cooler conditions work in for the weekend. Look for partly cloudy skies on Saturday we may see a few flurries especially in the northern part of the state. High temperatures on Saturday will go below normal. Highs around 36 degrees. Sunny skies for the end of the weekend with high temperatures climbing to about 37.

7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Temperatures climb back close to normal and then above normal for the middle part of the work week. A storm system heads across parts of the state for Tuesday evening and into Wednesday. This will bring us a chance of some showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms especially south and west of Indianapolis could be on the stronger side. Showers will continue into Wednesday and then we dry out on Thursday with mostly sunny skies highs in the 40s.
