The December sale is the last of 2023. The sale takes place nine times a year and includes Friend’s Day, Half-Price Day and Bag Day shopping opportunities.

Store proceeds support The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, which funds programming. The sale started in 1982, then called Secondhand Prose; and has brought in more than $7.5 million for the Library Foundation.

The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation’s Friends of the Library members get early access, and therefore the best selection. Memberships start at $25 donations.

The Indy Library Store is also available online at Amazon, AbeBooks and eBay.
