INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Cultural Trail announced an expanded schedule for bike tours and free community group rides starting in May, offering residents and visitors new ways to explore the city.

The tours and rides will take place every Thursday evening and Saturday morning, providing opportunities to experience the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick by bike.

Tours, priced at $45, include a Pacers Bikeshare bike, helmet, and expert-led guidance. Group rides are free with required registration due to limited capacity.

“Our tour and group ride programs provide a way for people to experience the Cultural Trail in a new way while learning more about our city and its many cultural destinations,” Executive Director of Indianapolis Cultural Trail Kären Haley said.

Most tours and rides will start from the Indianapolis Cultural Trail headquarters at 132 W. Walnut St., except for the Roast Rides, which start at the Orange Bridge on the Downtown Canal.

Participants in group rides should bring their own bikes, though a limited number of Pacers Bikeshare and adaptive bikes are available by request.

Proceeds from the tours and rides will support the nonprofit’s mission and the ongoing care, maintenance, and stewardship of the ten-mile Cultural Trail.

The available tours for 2025 include the Indianapolis Cultural Trail Bike Tours, No Spandex Required Ride, Roast Ride, and Bikes and Bakeries Ride, each offering a unique exploration of the city’s cultural and culinary scenes.
