Mild Monday with highs in the 60s | Feb 3, 2025
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Incredibly mild conditions expected for the day today with high temperatures climbing into the 60s. Readings do begin to fall for the rest of the week but temperature still remains above normal.
TODAY: Temperature started out this morning into the 40s which is already above our normal high for this time of year. Look for temperatures to climb into the 60s later this afternoon. Our record high for today is 67 so we will be close to a record but not break it.
Look for mostly cloudy skies for much of the day today. We will see a little bit of sunshine peeking through much like what we had yesterday. Overall very mild conditions expected with temperatures well above normal for this time of the year.
TONIGHT: Skies become partly cloudy during the overnight hours and temperatures fall close to freezing. So a chilly and cloudy night is expected.
TUESDAY: Quiet conditions on Tuesday but it will feel much cooler than today. Look for mostly sunny skies on your Tuesday with high temperatures into the mid-40s. The normal high for this time of year is at 38 so we will see temperatures still above normal just not as warm as Monday.
WEDNESDAY: We’re watching a system that will move across the state on Wednesday. This will bring us a chance of some precipitation. As the precipitation begins temperatures will be right around that freezing mark so we will see the potential for a little freezing rain to start out. Once temperatures begin to warm up a little bit later in the afternoon we will see a chilly rain. High temperatures will more than likely be late in the day on Wednesday into the ’40s. But much of the day will be into the 30s.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: Scattered showers possible on Thursday otherwise mostly cloudy skies. Highs top out into the lower 50s. On Friday we will continue to see mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures staying into the ’30s. This is much closer to normal for this time of the year. Over next weekend we will see temperatures climb back up into the lower 40s.
