Insider: Colts vs. Rams preview
Insider Joel A. Erickson previews Los Angeles Rams versus the Indianapolis Colts.
The Indianapolis Colts host the Los Angeles Rams in NFL Week 4 action, and we will have score updates and video highlights, so please remember to refresh.
The Colts (2-1) have won the past two games, including an overtime victory over the Baltimore Ravens behind five Matt Gay field goals, four of them from 50+ yards. Rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson is scheduled to return from a concussion today, but the Colts’ offensive line has been hit with injuries.
The Rams (1-2) have lost two in a row, most recently to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night. Matthew Stafford was under siege in the second half of that game with two injured offensive linemen, and the status of left tackle Alaric Jackson is questionable.
Nate Atkins, Joel A. Erickson and Gregg Doyel are your best Colts follows all season, and certainly for today.
Colts inactives
CB Darrell Baker Jr., QB Sam Ehlinger, C Ryan Kelly, DE Isaiah Land, TE Will Mallory, LB Cam McGrone, T Bernhard Raimann.
DE DeForest Buckner (groin/back) and RT Braden Smith (right wrist), who battled injuries all week, are available.
Colts coach Shane Steichen said Sunday morning that rookie Blake Freeland would start at left tackle in Raimann’s place. Wesley French has played in Kelly’s place.
Rams inactives
LT Alaric Jackson, who left the Rams’ Week 3 game with a hamstring injury, is out. Other inactives include WR Zach Evans, OL Zach Thomas and DE Earnest Brown.
