INDIANAPOLIS — Individuals utilizing the West sixteenth Avenue bridge ought to count on some further site visitors beginning Wednesday.

The Indianapolis Division of Public Works expects to shut the westbound lanes of the bridge over Little Eagle Creek Wednesday for rehabilitation. Throughout the closure, a contractor can be rehabilitating the bridge.

Whereas the westbound lanes are closed, two-way site visitors can be maintained within the eastbound lanes. When rehabilitation work is completed on the westbound aspect, site visitors can be re-routed to that aspect so the contractor can work on the eastbound lanes.

The bridge is anticipated to completely re-open later this 12 months. When full, the bridge will function a brand new deck, 5 journey lanes, new bridge approaches and sidewalks on each side.
