There’s one more thing you can add to the list to be thankful for this year: sunshine on Thanksgiving.
While it’s expected to rain early in the week, the clouds will break for a sunny Thanksgiving Day.
“We’re expecting rain for much of (Monday night) and then into (Tuesday) morning,” Greg Melo at the National Weather Service in Indianapolis said. “The rain should start to move out during the afternoon hours on Tuesday.”
Wednesday night leading into Thanksgiving it’ll be cooler with low temperatures around 28-32 degrees.
“Looking at cloud cover, it looks like clouds will clear out during the day on Wednesday just before Thanksgiving,” Melo said.
Thanksgiving in Indianapolis is expected to have highs in the low to mid-50s with sunshine and no rain.
You may want to bundle up on your way home from your feasts as temperatures will drop to the low 40s in the evening and into the 30s overnight.
On Black Friday it is expected to be partly sunny with some cloud cover, but shoppers may want to bring an umbrella just in case due to a chance of rain showers.
